Senior Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical expertise during the pre-sales phase by providing architectural insights, evaluating integration feasibility, and pinpointing solution strategies across various product lines and third-party systems.

• Acquire and examine customers’ technical architecture, system landscape, and integration needs, acting as a subject matter expert in crafting scalable, high-performance technical solutions, which include APIs, data integrations, and middleware platforms.

• Convert business and technical requirements into technical architecture specifications, integration patterns, API designs, and implementation standards.

• Ensure technical oversight and execution from the discovery phase through architecture design, guaranteeing that large-scale implementations are constructed on robust technical foundations.

• Provide continuous technical support and guidance during deployment phases, which encompasses integration testing, performance optimization, and production cutover.

• Assess and manage intricate technical escalations concerning integrations, performance, data synchronization, and system architecture, coordinating internal resources to resolve issues and maintain customer relationships.

• Design and implement tailored integrations, APIs, data pipelines, and technical solutions to address specific customer requirements.

• Identify and drive opportunities to enhance technical capabilities, accelerate integration adoption, and utilize Unanet’s platform extensibility.

• Engage in technical planning and proactively oversee executive-level relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders regarding architecture and integration strategy.

• Offer technical mentorship and guidance to other implementation team members on architecture patterns, integration best practices, and technical problem-solving.

• Develop and sustain common libraries, patterns, and reusable designs that can be utilized across various projects and technical resources, enhancing consistency and delivery speed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in multi-phase, custom software integration projects, preferably within complex, enterprise environments.

• At least 5 years’ of development experience or experience in leading developers, with a proven history of delivering high-quality technical solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Extensive technical architecture experience, including proficiency in REST API integration and authentication, database design and SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), integration patterns (ETL/ELT, middleware, event-driven architectures), programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or similar), and DevOps practices (CI/CD, version control, containerization).

• Strong proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and Git.

• Comprehensive knowledge of technical implementation methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD, API integration patterns, system architecture patterns, and database design).

• Broad product and industry experience, including product or technical expertise pertinent to Unanet’s portfolio (e.g., ERP, CRM, PSA SaaS products) and customer industries (e.g., GovCon, Architecture, Engineering, Construction).

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with clients, partners, and colleagues at all organizational levels, including executives.

• Capability to design and articulate strategic technical solutions that align technology with business objectives.

• Strong professional creativity and problem-solving skills, particularly in complex integration and architecture scenarios.

• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with experience managing multiple workstreams or projects simultaneously.

• Willingness to travel as necessary to support customer engagements, team collaboration, and key events.
