Senior Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Lead technical discovery, demonstrations, and validation to illustrate how GitLab's AI-driven DevSecOps platform aligns with customers' technical and business requirements throughout the entire lifecycle.

• Oversee the technical evaluation process as the accountable individual, which includes solution design, ownership of POCs/POVs, workshop creation, and handling the technical aspects of tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.

• Partner with Account Executives and regional sales teams in Central EMEA to develop and implement account strategies that facilitate new customer acquisition and growth.

• Establish and strengthen relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders, guiding them through GitLab-led transformation and empowering them to become advocates for GitLab.

• Provide customers with guidance on contemporary software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud methodologies, challenging existing practices to enhance return on investment.

• Act as the customer’s voice to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by conveying feedback, use cases, and competitive insights that influence the roadmap and positioning.

• Maintain and broaden your technical knowledge in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and associated cloud technologies, creating reusable examples, best practice guidelines, and technical materials for customers and partners.

• Commit to your personal growth and development through continuous learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to enhance the effectiveness of the Solutions Architect team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience engaging with customers in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar positions, guiding them through solution design and evaluation.

• Expertise in the complete software development lifecycle, including modern DevSecOps methodologies and continuous integration and deployment processes.

• Practical experience with GitLab or similar source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms, with the capability to align platform features with customer use cases.

• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and related technologies, with the ability to discuss deployment, security, and operational options with technical teams.

• Proficient in leading technical evaluations like proofs of concept or value, contributing to tenders or audits, and designing and conducting workshops or value stream assessments.

• Strong technical communication and presentation abilities, with the skill to tailor messages for audiences ranging from practitioners to senior business and technical decision-makers.

• Ability to build trusted relationships, listen empathetically, and serve as a customer advocate within internal teams such as Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.

• Drive to pursue professional development continuously, including learning new technologies, deepening expertise in the GitLab platform, and applying transferable experiences from related fields.
