This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead technical assessments, demonstrations, and validation processes (including proofs of value) to illustrate how GitLab’s AI-driven DevSecOps platform fulfills customers’ technical and business requirements throughout the entire lifecycle.
• Spearhead the technical evaluation process as the Directly Responsible Individual, encompassing solution design, POC/POV ownership, workshop creation, and the technical elements of tenders, audits, and value stream evaluations.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales teams across North America to formulate and implement account strategies that facilitate new customer acquisition and expansion.
• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders, guiding them through GitLab-led digital transformation and empowering them to become GitLab advocates.
• Advise clients on contemporary software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud methodologies, challenging conventional practices to enhance return on investment.
• Represent the customer’s interests with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by providing feedback, use cases, and competitive insights that shape the roadmap and positioning.
• Maintain and expand your technical expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and related cloud technologies, developing reusable examples, best practice guidance, and technical materials for customers and partners.
• Commit to your personal growth and development through continuous learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to enhance the effectiveness of the Solutions Architect team.
• Experience interacting with customers in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar positions, guiding them through solution design and assessment.
• Proficiency in the complete software development lifecycle, including modern DevSecOps methodologies and continuous integration and continuous deployment processes.
• Practical experience with GitLab or similar source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms, along with the ability to align platform capabilities with customer use cases.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and related technologies, with the capability to discuss deployment, security, and operational options with technical teams.
• Ability to lead technical evaluations such as proofs of concept or proofs of value, contribute to tenders or audits, and design and facilitate workshops or value stream assessments.
• Strong technical communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages for audiences ranging from practitioners to senior business and technical decision-makers.
• Proficiency in building trusted relationships, listening empathetically, and serving as a customer advocate to internal teams like Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
