Senior Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Facilitate architecture evaluations, workshops, and technical design discussions with engineering teams and executive stakeholders.

• Create comprehensive platform architectures that integrate Airflow with cloud infrastructure, computing frameworks, and data platforms.

• Assess delivery work to maintain high standards of scalability, observability, security, and operational excellence.

• Identify and resolve issues, assisting customers with deployments, migrations, and platform modernization.

• Develop reusable tools, frameworks, reference architectures, and best practices that enhance delivery quality across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or solution architecture.

• Expertise in Airflow, including authoring and deploying Dags to production, monitoring execution, and troubleshooting failures.

• Experience in optimizing Airflow performance, refactoring Dag code, appropriately sizing infrastructure, and implementing data quality checks and alerts.

• Demonstrated success in guiding customers through platform deployments, migrations, or technical transformations, while managing scope, timelines, and stakeholder conflicts.

• Strong foundation in designing cloud-native data platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP, with knowledge of enterprise networking, security, and identity patterns.

• Proficient in programming with Python and SQL.

• Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, BigQuery, or Redshift.

• Proven ability to lead architecture discussions and influence technical decisions with engineering leaders and executive stakeholders.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills; capable of translating business requirements into scalable, production-ready architectures.

• Authorized to work in the United States.
