This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Drive sales and enhance business opportunities within designated Federal Agencies across Civilian and DoD sectors.
• Support the federal sales team operating in the Washington DC Metro area.
• Engage proactively in intricate solution-oriented discussions at the C-Suite level to secure new business for advanced solution sets.
• Foster the adoption of server, storage, networking, cloud, virtualization, cybersecurity, and services technologies.
• Expand existing key account relationships and build new client connections within assigned accounts.
• Achieve or surpass revenue and gross profit targets through strategic account management and consultative sales approaches.
• Utilize client and strategic business partner/vendor relationships to secure favorable business outcomes.
• Communicate Connection’s value proposition effectively.
• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews.
• Develop strategic project plans.
• Provide updates concerning new offerings and services.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and account managers.
• Present to managers and C-Level stakeholders.
• Represent Connection at customer and vendor events upon request.
• Independently manage multi-step sales cycles.
• Assess customer needs, connect solutions to business challenges, and adjust positioning for various stakeholders.
• Lead pricing discussions, handle objections, negotiate, and plan for deal closures.
• Generate proposals, follow-ups, executive summaries, business cases, and internal deal updates.
• Lead discovery calls, demonstrations, presentations, and client meetings.
• Maintain accurate records of the sales pipeline, next steps, closure dates, and deal risks.
• Effectively coordinate internal resources.
• Prior experience in supporting Federal customers.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, CMMC, NDAA, Supply Chain Security, and TAA compliance standards.
• Advanced technical knowledge of IT and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) vendors.
• Understanding of data center technology and solutions, including networking, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud, and Connection's service offerings.
• Proven IT sales experience in developing and expanding customer accounts while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong business development and account maturation capabilities.
• Ability to proactively identify or create business opportunities within both existing and prospective customer accounts.
• Capacity to qualify deals and manage time effectively to enhance efficiency and win rates.
• Proficient in conveying the state of technology and the “art of the possible” to stakeholders at various levels.
• Skillful in developing financial proposals for customers.
• Proficiency in managing resources and complex sales engagements involving multiple stakeholders.
• Security clearance preferred; active security clearance is not a requirement.
