Senior Solution Consultant – Governance, Risk, and Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer pre-sales assistance for Workiva’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance solutions.

• Facilitate discovery, technical qualification, roadmap-focused selling, architecture dialogues, product showcases, and value-oriented messaging.

• Create and present example solutions, prototypes, and proofs of concept utilizing current, emerging, and AI-driven Workiva capabilities.

• Implement pre-sales methodologies such as Demo2Win and MEDDIC.

• Address RFPs and engage with customers and partners.

• Cultivate a working knowledge of Public Sector industries, departments, and their respective use cases.

• Collaborate with Sales on account strategies, technical qualifications, forecasting, and deal planning.

• Conduct assessments of customer processes and develop and present tailored business cases.

• Ensure seamless customer onboarding and long-term success with implementation partners and Workiva Client Services.

• Innovate new use cases and showcase the impact and value of solutions.

• Leverage AI to enhance presales execution and ethically promote Workiva’s AI capabilities.

• Remain informed about Workiva products, roadmap features, platform advancements, and market developments.

• Work in tandem with Sales, Product Marketing, Client Services, Scoping, and Customer Success teams.

• Maintain presales documentation, deal notes, Technical Win updates, opportunity support, expenses, and enablement needs.

• Represent Workiva at marketing events, webinars, conferences, speaking engagements, and client interactions.

• May provide cross-domain coaching, training, or mentoring to fellow team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years with a Master’s degree; or 2 years with a PhD.

• Knowledge of GRC or a strong willingness and commitment to quickly acquire deep expertise in GRC.

• Experience in the Public Sector environment, including Federal, State, Local, Special Districts, Higher Education, or Nonprofit Healthcare.

• Experience with SaaS, preferably in GRC SaaS within presales, implementation, or consulting roles.

• Background in Big 4 consulting firms.

• Capacity to gather business requirements and deliver persuasive, value-driven software presentations.

• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Proficient in problem-solving and articulating solutions to business challenges.

• Experience presenting to business or IT leaders and executives, including CISO or infrastructure audiences.

• Practical technical experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and architectures.

• Familiarity with connectivity and integration technical concepts, including APIs.

• Proficiency in AI and the ability to utilize AI tools to enhance presales execution while responsibly positioning AI capabilities.

• Experience in building processes from the ground up, including design, proposal development, and cross-functional alignment.

• Experience applying structured selling or demonstration frameworks such as Demo2Win, MEDDIC, or similar methods.

• Involvement in supporting Technical Win validation, including decision criteria, solution fit, risks, blockers, and subsequent steps.

• Experience assisting with customer-facing events, webinars, conferences, roadshows, speaking engagements, or strategic demonstrations.

• Collaboration experience with product management teams to gather customer requirements and suggest enhancements.

• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.

• Reliable internet access while working remotely.

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis.
