Senior Software Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Champion quality throughout the software development lifecycle by establishing automated testing strategies that pinpoint issues early and enhance delivery with confidence.

• Spearhead the creation of scalable automation frameworks, test suites, and engineering tools that boost efficiency, maintainability, and long-term product quality.

• Develop dependable continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines that facilitate quicker releases while upholding high quality standards.

• Promote engineering excellence by pinpointing code quality enhancements, minimizing technical risks, and advocating for test-driven development and behavior-driven development practices.

• Lead initiatives for application performance, load, and security testing that fortify reliability, scalability, and client trust.

• Create innovative testing solutions for application programming interfaces (APIs), Representational State Transfer (REST) services, and non-user interface components to broaden automated test coverage.

• Influence quality engineering best practices by collaborating with developers, business teams, and stakeholders to devise effective testing strategies and measurable results.

• Act as a trusted technical leader for testing activities, facilitating issue resolution, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery across intricate initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Extensive experience in software testing, software development, and quality engineering within complex technological environments.

• Strong proficiency in automation frameworks, as well as continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.

• Experience with contemporary software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Test Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, Perl, Groovy, Structured Query Language (SQL), or similar technologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to assess complex systems and develop effective quality solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across technical and business teams while influencing quality outcomes and engineering best practices.
