
Senior Software QA Engineer – Aviation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the complete quality assurance strategy for mechatronic systems, including airborne hardware, ground docks, and cloud backends.
• Create and implement detailed test plans, test suites, and performance metrics utilizing platforms such as Qase.
• Develop custom test scripts and adapt test automation frameworks using Python and Bash.
• Conduct log-level debugging and issue isolation across microcontrollers, physical sensors, and edge devices with Linux CLI tools.
• Design automated Hardware-in-the-Loop and Software-in-the-Loop test suites.
• Set formal quality gates for upcoming fleet rollouts and significant hardware launches.
• Analyze real-world aircraft operations along with raw Linux logs.
• Provide constructive feedback on architectural designs backed by data.
• Experience in systems engineering and quality assurance for safety-critical mechatronic systems, including robotics, autonomous vehicles, UAVs, or aerospace platforms.
• Expert knowledge of Linux environments, log-level debugging, and command-line interfaces across embedded devices and cloud infrastructures.
• Proficient in Python or Bash for creating custom testing scripts and enhancing test automation.
• Proven ability to structure test plans, write comprehensive test cases, and manage execution metrics using tools like Qase.
• Technical knowledge of serial communications such as CAN and UART, computer vision, edge computing, and live data streaming.
• Experience with aviation standards, FAA Part 107 certification, Gazebo simulation, or AWS is an advantage.
