Senior Software Engineer – XCore

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Design, develop, and maintain highly efficient, low-latency APIs and distributed microservices that manage identity, authorization, user profiles, settings, and product configurations.

β€’ Take full ownership of features from start to finish: collaborating with Product to refine and challenge requirements, through system architecture, implementation, and monitoring in production.

β€’ Design and implement data pipelines that transfer large volumes of data with guaranteed consistency and zero data loss, including systems for audit logs and business intelligence data exports.

β€’ Enhance and maintain existing features based on user feedback and changing product needs.

β€’ Promote and integrate engineering best practices, such as structured logging, cross-service request tracking, and effective error management.

β€’ Ensure comprehensive observability by implementing alerting, dashboards, tracing, and runbooks for all production services.

β€’ Develop reusable internal tools to minimize manual operations for engineering teams and facilitate self-service for customer support.

β€’ Work collaboratively across Product, Design, and Engineering teams, ensuring clear and effective communication.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Over 5 years of professional experience in building backend systems within an enterprise setting.

β€’ More than 2 years of programming experience with Python or Scala.

β€’ Demonstrated experience in constructing and orchestrating microservices and service-oriented architectures (SOA).

β€’ Extensive knowledge of databases, caching strategies, and designing low-latency services.

β€’ Proven experience in designing clean, scalable APIs with a strong emphasis on client and end-user experience.

β€’ Experience in managing data synchronization from various external sources and designing high-consistency data pipelines.

β€’ Ability to take ownership of an unfamiliar or legacy codebase, incrementally refactoring and enhancing it.

β€’ Strong focus on automation and minimizing manual operational tasks.

β€’ Experience with Spark or big data processing is advantageous.

β€’ Excellent communication skills with the capability to be a true partner to Product β€” challenging requirements and influencing roadmap decisions.
