This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of designing and delivering large-scale, intricate frontend and full-stack projects utilizing React and TypeScript, overseeing everything from planning and sequencing to launch and ongoing support.
• Define the technical vision for the team's frontend architecture and full-stack methodologies, managing a 3–6 month roadmap while proactively identifying systemic issues that could hinder team performance.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to convert roadmap goals and borrower requirements into scalable, high-quality user experiences.
• Elevate engineering standards through robust component and API design, meticulous state management, comprehensive testing, observability, and operational discipline across borrower-facing interfaces.
• Navigate through uncertainty by breaking down vaguely defined challenges into actionable, testable plans and leveraging data to guide decisions on scope, performance, and user experience.
• Provide mentorship and foster the growth of fellow engineers through code reviews, design evaluations, and technical advice, acting as a reliable collaborator within the team.
• Engage in shaping how the team integrates AI into development processes and product functionalities, maintaining a practical perspective on where it can add substantial value.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience) along with 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Extensive expertise in developing complex web applications with React and TypeScript, covering component architecture, state management, performance enhancement, and interfacing with REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Full-stack experience in designing and creating backend services and APIs using languages such as Python, Java, Kotlin, Ruby, or Node.js.
• Proven ability to independently lead the design and execution of significant, business-critical frontend or full-stack projects in a production environment.
• Capability to thrive in ambiguous settings where product requirements, constraints, and system boundaries are subject to change over time.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a knack for articulating technical trade-offs and aligning product, design, and engineering teams.
