Senior Software Engineer – Trust and Telemetry

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Take ownership of a TnT subdomain: Assume technical responsibility for a specific component, which may include our OAuth/SSO flows, audit logging infrastructure, telemetry ingestion pipelines, or a detailed permissions model.

β€’ Lead features from start to finish: Create design documents, achieve alignment, implement, test, deploy, and oversee your work in a production environment.

β€’ Build for enterprise-grade reliability: Design with observability, rollback mechanisms, and incremental delivery in consideration. Engage in on-call duties and participate in postmortems.

β€’ Collaborate across various functions: Work closely with Product and Design teams to define and prioritize tasks. Communicate effectively with a focus on asynchronous collaboration.

β€’ Develop your engineering skills: Contribute to code reviews, participate in design discussions, and uphold technical standards. Provide and receive constructive feedback within the team.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A minimum of 2 years of experience in designing and developing backend services in a production setting.

β€’ A strong grasp of distributed systems fundamentals, including consistency, failure modes, and resiliency patterns.

β€’ Proven experience in constructing APIs and data models that are relied upon by other teams or clients.

β€’ Proficiency in at least one contemporary backend programming language such as TypeScript/Node, Go, Rust, Java, or similar.

β€’ Experience with relational databases and at least one type of data store: key-value, document, or time-series.

β€’ Direct ownership of services in a production environment, including on-call responsibilities, incident response, and postmortems.

β€’ Familiarity with observability tools (metrics, tracing, logging) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).

β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for design documents and asynchronous collaboration.

β€’ Capability to work with Product and Design teams to establish scope, assess trade-offs, and determine delivery increments.
