This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.
• Act as a pivotal figure in our digital security efforts, spearheading product-driven implementations that allow us to fulfill, audit, measure, and enforce essential Trust & Safety policies for both internal and external users and workflows.
• Lead initiatives on product architecture alongside operational and process-oriented solutions—creating robust custom tools and utilizing top-tier industry solutions to investigate and mitigate threats such as fraud, billing discrepancies, and credential misuse.
• Build a completely new engineering domain from the ground up, mentor fellow engineers, and develop scalable systems that play a critical role in protecting a vital mental health ecosystem.
• Over 4 years of Software Engineering experience, with at least 1 year focused on Trust & Safety systems and an additional year contributing to a new project or team.
• Proven experience in cross-functional teams, bridging the divide between technical and non-technical groups.
• Fullstack experience in creating modern database-driven (SQL/No-SQL) web applications.
• Knowledge and experience in microservice development.
• A strong passion for mentoring others, reviewing architectural designs, and establishing design patterns.
• Experienced in guiding all phases of the development lifecycle: planning, specification, execution, and post-launch maintenance to measure success.
• Demonstrated ability to work on highly complex projects with a focus on sustainable outcomes.
• Background in start-up environments.
• Experience in developing SaaS applications utilizing the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform.
• Previous work on products with high reliability and accuracy standards (e.g., finance, mission-critical systems).
• Familiarity with “on-call” responsibilities, capable of diving deep into complex issues and driving them to resolution independently.
• Proficient in NodeJs, Typescript, and Kafka.
