Senior Software Engineer – Treasury

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead impactful, cross-departmental projects among Treasury engineering, operations, compliance, and risk teams to develop stable and scalable systems and processes.

• Play a crucial role in shaping the technical architecture and user experience of the Treasury product.

• Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to deliver well-considered features for both our customers and internal users.

• Exhibit a strong sense of product ownership and proactively seek responsibility – we are looking for someone eager to contribute to the evolution of Mercury.

• Join a team of both seasoned and junior product engineers managing billions of dollars in customer assets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Haskell or another programming language with comparable static typing or functional paradigms.

• Possess domain expertise in broker-dealer trading or custody systems that support individual securities (equities, fixed income) as well as ETFs and mutual funds.

• Have served as the technical lead on complex projects with multiple stakeholders, demonstrating a history of successful outcomes.

• Made architectural choices while assessing the long-term impact of those decisions. You should be capable of clearly articulating your technical viewpoints and outlining trade-offs.

• Comfortable mentoring both junior and senior engineers.

• Effectively communicates and collaborates with peers and cross-functional team members by being supportive and engaged.
