β’ Create and develop high-quality systems from start to finish β not merely adding tests, but designing the framework, tools, and procedures that empower the team to deliver with assurance.
β’ Construct quality incrementally: Establish the vision for various layers (unit, integration, E2E, Load/Performance, Security, Chaos testing, etc.) and lead the team through this process by taking responsibility for several layers of the guardrails.
β’ Actively partner in quality within your squad β participate in squad discussions, facilitate cross-team communication, manage incoming requests, troubleshoot problems, and drive them to resolution; represent quality in standups, planning sessions, and code evaluations.
β’ Lead performance and load testing efforts β collaborate with engineers on the design and execution of load tests, create dashboards to track results, and implement ongoing monitoring practices.
β’ Advocate for the use of AI tools in your daily tasks as well as those of your colleagues to create a cross-functional impact.
β’ Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD to support continuous testing and rapid feedback loops from commit to production.
β’ Oversee test results and failures β identify root causes, monitor defects, collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to resolve issues swiftly, and enhance signal quality over time.
β’ Promote contract and chaos testing β bring knowledge of contract testing patterns and chaos/resilience testing to uncover systemic vulnerabilities before they reach production.
β’ Encourage ongoing process enhancements β assess and refine testing tools, methodologies, and reporting practices to ensure the quality system remains pertinent as the product evolves.
β’ Work together on test planning with Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to enhance coverage and guarantee that test cases mirror real user scenarios.
β’ A systems-oriented mindset regarding quality β you view testing as an engineering practice, constructing reliable, maintainable, layered systems rather than isolated test scripts.
β’ Extensive testing knowledge across several layers: functional, integration, contract, performance/load, chaos, and security testing β you don't need to master all of these, but you comprehend each layer and can set the vision, contribute to, and guide work across all of them.
β’ Technical acumen β you are proficient in reading and writing code; you're adaptable to various languages and frameworks based on the current stack.
β’ Experience with object-oriented programming languages (C#, Java, Python, or similar) is a significant advantage.
β’ Background in performance and load testing β you understand how to create meaningful load tests, analyze results, develop dashboards, and track performance trends over time.
β’ Proficiency in AI tools β you actively leverage AI tools to enhance your workflow and assist the team in automating processes more efficiently.
β’ Skills in troubleshooting and tool navigation β you are comfortable exploring unfamiliar systems, reviewing logs, utilizing observability tools, and diagnosing complex failures.
β’ Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps β experience in integrating test automation into pipelines (like GitHub Actions, Teamcity, Jenkins, or similar) and a solid grasp of deployment procedures.
β’ Knowledge of SQL and data querying β proficient in SQL (preferably PostgreSQL and/or MS-SQL) for validating backend states and troubleshooting data-layer problems.
β’ Collaboration and team engagement β you are responsive, involved, and take ownership of quality requests from your team without needing prompting.
β’ Experience with API and contract testing β knowledgeable about testing integrations across service boundaries, including third-party APIs.
β’ Strong version control and code hygiene β maintain robust Git practices, ensure clean and reusable test code, and treat test code with the same diligence as production code.
β’ Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of operating and thriving in a fast-paced environment characterized by periods of uncertainty.
β’ Flexible working hours, recognition, and support for independent work: Flexible time off accompanied by numerous learning and development opportunities to further your career.
β’ Comprehensive onboarding program, leadership training for Titans at every level, and various programs and events.
β’ Exceptional work is acknowledged through Bonusly, peer-nominated awards, and more.
β’ Comprehensive health and wellness benefits: Company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision coverage (with options fully covered by the employer and 90% coverage for dependents), FSA and HSA, 401k matching, and telehealth options including memberships to One Medical.
β’ Support for Titans at all life stages: Parental leave and support, up to $20k in fertility services (i.e. IUI and IVF), surrogacy and adoption reimbursement, on-demand maternity assistance through Maven Maternity, free breast milk shipping via Maven Milk, pet insurance, legal advisory services, financial planning tools, and more.
