Senior Software Engineer, SWE800

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Taking complete responsibility for features — from refinement and design to development, testing, and deployment to production.

• Developing and sustaining modern, scalable microservices in C# and .NET (8+) operating on Azure Kubernetes Service.

• Contributing throughout the stack — backend services, Angular UI, test automation, CI/CD pipelines — wherever assistance is needed.

• Writing clean, testable, and well-documented code while maintaining high standards during code reviews.

• Creating and executing test cases, engaging in functional testing, and managing test plans using Azure DevOps.

• Collaborating in 2-week sprints with a globally distributed team — taking part in refinement, demos, and retrospectives.

• Instrumenting services with OpenTelemetry and utilizing Datadog to monitor the health of the services you deliver.

• Participating in on-call rotation as a primary responder for our services and the Kubernetes infrastructure that supports them — we manage the full stack, not just the application layer.

• Directly addressing customer escalations — investigating, communicating, and resolving issues without an intermediary between you and the customer impact.

• Utilizing AI coding tools to expedite development — we expect engineers to be proficient in AI-assisted workflows.

• Collaborating closely with architects, product managers, and colleagues across Panama, Hungary, and beyond.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in C# and .NET (8+) with a focus on building production microservices at scale.

• Strong understanding of CQRS, event-driven architecture, and messaging systems (such as Azure Service Bus or similar).

• Practical experience with NoSQL databases — Cosmos DB, MongoDB, or similar.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools — Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar.

• Proficient in containerization and orchestration technologies — Docker, Kubernetes, AKS.

• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience, with substantial .NET microservices development.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong English communication skills — both written and verbal (our team operates globally).

• Self-motivated and comfortable working asynchronously across different time zones.
