Senior Software Engineer, SWE800

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Taking complete ownership of features — from refinement and design through to development, testing, and final delivery to production.

• Developing and maintaining modern, scalable microservices using C# and .NET (8+) operating on Azure Kubernetes Service.

• Contributing across the entire stack — backend services, Angular UI, test automation, CI/CD pipelines — wherever assistance is needed.

• Writing clean, testable, and well-documented code while maintaining high standards through code reviews.

• Creating and executing test cases, engaging in functional testing, and managing test plans via Azure DevOps.

• Collaborating in 2-week sprints with a globally distributed team — participating in refinement sessions, demos, and retrospectives.

• Instrumenting services with OpenTelemetry and utilizing Datadog to monitor the health of the services you deliver.

• Taking part in on-call rotations as a primary responder for our services and the Kubernetes infrastructure that supports them.

• Handling customer escalations directly — investigating, communicating, and resolving issues without an intermediary between you and the customer impact.

• Utilizing AI coding tools to enhance development efficiency.

• Collaborating closely with architects, product managers, and team members across Panama, Hungary, and beyond.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of professional software engineering experience, with significant .NET microservices development.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Excellent English communication skills — both written and verbal.

• Self-motivated and comfortable working asynchronously across different time zones.

• Strong experience in C# and .NET (8+) with a focus on building scalable production microservices.

• Solid understanding of CQRS, event-driven architecture, and messaging systems (such as Azure Service Bus or similar).

• Practical experience with NoSQL databases — Cosmos DB, MongoDB, or equivalent.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools — Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar.

• Comfortable with containerization and orchestration technologies — Docker, Kubernetes, AKS.
