Senior Software Engineer – RoR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Create high-quality, efficient, and testable code that plays a vital role in company-wide projects.

• Utilize engaging technologies such as Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, GraphQL, Kafka, AWS/Lambda, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, along with legacy services developed in Elixir, Ruby, and React.

• Contribute significantly to technical decisions that will influence the future of our software systems.

• Embrace opportunities to learn, whether it's a new software design pattern or an innovative initiative to advance the company.

• Review pull requests and offer constructive feedback to colleagues.

• Collaborate with a teammate to develop features together.

• Deploy code intended for users to production environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in software development.

• Proficiency in either Java/Kotlin and Elixir or Ruby on Rails.

• Strong command of the latest ECMAScript (JavaScript) versions, as well as HTML and CSS.

• Experience with React and commonly used tools in the broader React ecosystem, including Node.js and npm.

• Familiarity with essential programming tools such as IDEs, RESTful APIs, Git repositories, TypeScript, version control software, and remote deployment tools.

• Understanding of event-driven architectures, database fundamentals, and GraphQL.

• Passion for leveraging technology to solve user challenges.
