Senior Software Engineer, Reston, Cambridge

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Akamai cloud storage solution, NetStorage, within the public sector.

• Collaborate with various teams to enhance and support existing product offerings.

• Serve as a lead in the design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of the NetStorage ecosystem.

• Drive the integration of NetStorage into the Public Sector enterprise environment.

• Research and introduce new storage features.

• Act as a technical resource to assist with escalations.

• Partner with other internal development teams to resolve platform challenges.

• Maintain, enhance, and develop tools and testing frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Experience with CouchDB.

• Understanding of NoSQL database design principles.

• Capability to manage data synchronization.

• Experience in system administration and software development.

• Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Shell, Perl, Python, etc.).

• Practical experience in a Linux/Unix environment.

• Familiarity with cloud storage concepts.

• Experience with git/Stash and Performance version control systems.

• Must currently maintain eligibility for access to USG Secret information.
