Senior Software Engineer, Python/Django

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and implement highly scalable, cloud-native systems using Django to facilitate integration with external HR-Tech platforms, enabling users to effortlessly connect and exchange data.

• Actively promote collaboration among teams and functional departments to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives.

• Create documentation for technical proposals and designs, working together with colleagues to enhance technical solutions.

• Lead product and engineering-driven projects by breaking down complex business challenges into manageable tasks and collaborating effectively with team members to execute proposed solutions.

• Show initiative in independently identifying bottlenecks, communicating trade-offs, and offering technical recommendations to the product team.

• Participate in software design and peer code reviews, providing insights and technical feedback to fellow engineering team members.

• Support production software development and engage in on-call rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant software engineering experience in developing highly available web application systems utilizing Python/Django.

• Previous experience in designing and building APIs for connecting diverse systems.

• Proven capability to quickly adapt to new systems and a willingness to learn and evolve.

• Strong understanding of software design principles and technical documentation practices.

• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, capable of explaining intricate technical subjects.

• Excel in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment where your ideas, innovation, and knowledge can make a difference.

• Demonstrated technical leadership, advocating best practices and nurturing a positive team culture.

• You have a background in writing and maintaining production code in Python with the Django web framework.
