Senior Software Engineer – Python, React

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop products that assist organizations in training their employees and addressing critical people-related challenges on a large scale.

• Regularly release updates and iterate, ensuring the code is testable, readable, and maintainable.

• Acquire a thorough understanding of data flow within complex systems and engage with sophisticated data models.

• Responsibly utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity while upholding code quality.

• Design and execute solutions with considerations for scalability, security, performance, and privacy.

• Mentor fellow engineers on best practices for the safe and effective integration of AI into their development processes.

• Assist junior engineers in acquiring the technical skills necessary to evolve into senior engineers of the future.

• Suggest and aid in implementing enhancements to our engineering processes, adapting to advancements in AI technology.

• Engage in and lead code reviews, disseminate knowledge through presentations or documentation, and provide mentorship.

• Analyze quantitative and qualitative research regarding our clients and learners to contribute to product strategy and roadmap.

• Collaborate with other Engineering Team Members during Design and Operational Reviews to influence technical decision-making and identify performance challenges.

• Work closely with Product teams to offer multiple feasible technical options for new features and enhancements.

• Cooperate with product, design, and support teams to maximize user benefits from the products developed.

• Address bugs and performance issues.

• Exhibit curiosity and a desire to learn new technologies or fields.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer.

• Proficient in coding within a production Python/Django environment.

• Experience with React and TypeScript.

• Skilled in writing SQL queries and designing relational data models.

• Familiarity with agentic development workflows.

• Capability to articulate where AI workflows offer advantages for small teams and where they may pose risks.

• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.

• Knowledge of tiered web application architecture, encompassing backend services, APIs, and frontend integration.

• Experience in creating performance monitors and dashboards using observability tools like Datadog.

• Proven ability to enhance or refactor complex production systems without adversely affecting customer experience, particularly under tight synchronization, legacy code, or data consistency challenges.

• Exceptional written communication skills, as a significant portion of our work and collaboration relies on written communication.
