Senior Software Engineer – Python, FastAPI, Azure, Data Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Create and implement high-performance backend services utilizing FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy.

• Develop and sustain API-driven data processing and orchestration frameworks within DIAL.

• Execute asynchronous and concurrent processing in Python (asyncio) to manage scalable workloads.

• Connect with Azure services such as ADLS, ADF, Databricks, and associated data platforms.

• Construct solid data models, validation layers, and persistence strategies.

• Guarantee observability, logging, and monitoring for enterprise-level applications.

• Develop unit and integration tests using Pytest to ensure the quality and reliability of the code.

• Work collaboratively with data engineers, architects, and product owners to provide comprehensive solutions.

• Engage in code reviews, design discussions, and initiatives for performance optimization.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployments utilizing containers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Python backend development.

• Practical knowledge of FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy.

• Solid understanding of REST API design and microservices architecture.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure.

• Familiarity with ADLS (Azure Data Lake Storage), Azure Data Factory, and Databricks (preferred).

• Working knowledge of Python Asyncio.

• Comprehension of high-throughput and low-latency system design.

• Proven experience with Pytest.

• Background in unit, integration, and API testing.

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Understanding of CI/CD practices.
