Senior Software Engineer, Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Conceptualize, develop, deploy, and manage complete product features utilized by thousands of developers and hundreds of millions of end-users.

• Collaborate across frontend, backend, and data domains, making strategic trade-offs to ensure the delivery of dependable, high-quality systems.

• Assume responsibility from defining problems to production rollout and ongoing maintenance.

• Combine solid engineering principles with sound judgment — ensuring correctness, reliability, and scalability are not sacrificed for speed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, including ownership of production systems.

• Strong foundational engineering skills: data modeling, debugging, code organization, and testing.

• Solid web development principles, including:

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience with component-based UI design and state management.

• Familiarity with an MVC-style web framework (e.g. Django, Flask, or similar).

• Understanding of HTTP and interactions between browsers and servers.

• Proven experience in building and deploying user-facing web applications.

• Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, or similar), noting that the interview process will focus on React, so preparation in that area is advised.

• Ability to analyze complex SQL queries and ensure data accuracy.

• Capacity to thrive in a fully remote, asynchronous work environment.

• Proactive attitude: you identify issues, suggest enhancements, and see them through to completion.
