This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take the lead in designing and developing scalable, high-performance services that facilitate real-time pricing decisions across various products.
• Work closely with data scientists and product managers to convert business objectives into effective technical solutions.
• Propel architectural enhancements in the pricing platform to accommodate rapid growth, new product launches, and changing modeling requirements.
• Guide and mentor engineers within the team, promoting best practices in system design, testing, and operational excellence.
• Maintain the quality and reliability of our pricing engines through thorough testing, code reviews, and monitoring in production.
• Advocate for enhancements in developer experience, automation, and observability to boost team efficiency and platform resilience.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience in creating scalable public or consumer-oriented products.
• Strong coding proficiency in production environments using Python, along with some experience in Java or Kotlin or similar languages.
• Demonstrated capability to independently manage and deliver complex engineering projects over several months in dynamic settings.
• Experience in designing and building scalable APIs and microservices in a cloud-based environment (AWS or GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability of systems.
• Outstanding communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven experience in mentoring and coaching engineers, influencing technical strategies, and elevating team standards.
• A proactive approach with a tendency to take action and a comfort level in navigating ambiguity while striving for significant results.
