Senior Software Engineer, Platform – Backend-Focused

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Asia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain robust integrations between our platform and external third-party systems.

• Ensure scalability, reliability, and security within our AWS environment.

• Create and implement well-structured APIs and services that facilitate seamless data exchange across platforms, adhering to best practices in versioning, authentication, and error handling.

• Build and manage services on AWS utilizing strong CI/CD practices and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to ensure dependable, repeatable deployments.

• Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms for integrations.

• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and proactively strengthen systems to prevent future occurrences.

• Leverage AI tools in daily development (such as code generation, debugging, test creation, and documentation) while promoting practical AI adoption within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering, with a strong emphasis on system integrations, workflow orchestration, and API-driven solutions.

• Preferably proficient in Node.js + TypeScript, with substantial experience in building APIs and working with event-driven/serverless architectures.

• Open to strong backend engineers proficient in other languages (such as Go, Java, Python) who can quickly adapt.

• Extensive AWS experience and solid CI/CD practices (build/test/release pipelines, deployment automation, and operating production services).

• Comfortable using AI coding tools (like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex) and familiar with integrating LLM APIs (such as MCP, RAG).

• Practical experience with relational databases (AWS Aurora, PostgreSQL, MySQL), including schema design and ORM frameworks (TypeORM).

• Strong analytical skills with the capability to debug complex integration flows and resolve issues across multiple systems.

• Experience in fintech, payments, crypto, or financial services integrations is an advantage.
