Senior Software Engineer, Node.js, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Creating RESTful services in AWS utilizing API Gateway and Lambda with Node.js and NestJS.

• Designing and constructing scalable, event-driven microservice architectures leveraging Amazon EventBridge, SNS, SQS, RabbitMQ, and AmazonMQ.

• Spearheading engineering-wide projects and collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.

• Integrating external APIs into our systems.

• Utilizing GitHub Copilot as an integral part of your daily workflow, including AI-assisted code reviews within our CI/CD pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience with Node.js and its frameworks (Express, NestJS, Koa, etc.).

• Practical experience with AWS, particularly Lambda (serverless) and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.

• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript.

• Familiarity with message brokers and asynchronous communication within distributed systems.

• Strong command of Git and best practices in version control.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum development settings.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• A proactive, can-do mindset with a strong enthusiasm for learning and the ability to solve complex problems in a dynamic environment.

• Leadership capabilities — the ability to mentor colleagues and influence technical direction across teams.

• Nice to have: Understanding of REST with OpenAPI 3.0.

• Experience with Angular (currently using Angular 21 with signals).

• Experience in writing test suites using Jest.
