Senior Software Engineer – Machine Learning, Marketplace Dynamics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Identify and take ownership of challenging problems, formulate testable hypotheses, and drive substantial business impact.

• Lead the design and analysis of experiments.

• Create causal and predictive models to evaluate ideas.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement changes in production systems.

• Provide insights and intelligence to other teams.

• Effectively communicate conclusions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Keep the team and projects updated on advancements in machine learning and statistics through research papers, conferences, and local events.

• Productionize and automate model pipelines within Python services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in data analysis and statistical software and packages, including pandas, statsmodels, and sklearn within Python, R, or similar platforms.

• Experience in predictive modeling, machine learning, forecasting, or causal inference.

• Comfortable operating in a Unix environment.

• Adequate software engineering skills to collaborate effectively with software engineers.

• Proven ability to conduct original research.

• A strong curiosity to discover promising solutions to new challenges.

• Persistence to see ideas through to fruition.

• Motivation to gain deep knowledge of products and business processes.

• Ability to link abstract modeling and analysis tasks with business value.

• Must be residing in the United Kingdom.
