Senior Software Engineer – Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Develop, construct, and sustain a high-performance, high-availability, and fraud-resistant technology platform for B2B transactions with minimal supervision.

• Engage in hands-on solution design and development using Java/Spring Boot to provide reliable and seamless functionalities for our users.

• Collaborate with Frontend and DevOps teams to iterate on technical solutions, ensuring they are scalable and adaptable.

• Execute designed solutions and deploy them into production, maintaining a keen focus on product quality and user experience.

• Recognize and resolve performance or process bottlenecks within the applications and the larger infrastructure.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and rectify issues in production rapidly based on user impact.

• Take part in technology reviews, hiring interviews, and code reviews to progressively enhance the engineering organization and our methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing highly scalable, high-performance applications.

• Strong analytical skills and experience in application debugging.

• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.

• Practical experience in developing Restful services using Java Spring Boot.

• Proficient in database design with SQL (PostgreSQL / MySQL) or NoSQL (Redis / MongoDB / Cassandra).

• Familiarity with message streaming/queuing systems such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, or IBM MQ.

• Experience with cloud services, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Experience with Serverless Architectures (AWS/GCP) is a plus.
