Senior Software Engineer, Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Collaborate within agile, fast-paced, and autonomous teams to develop and improve a dynamic software platform.

• Provide technical direction throughout the technical design and sprint phases.

• Take ownership of complete feature releases and enhancements to the platform.

• Engage actively in the technical design process, leveraging your expertise and analysis to facilitate data-driven decisions.

• Continuously explore, assess, and implement new technologies or services to enhance the efficiency of our client's data science, machine learning, and clinical initiatives.

• Contribute to fostering a culture of testing, quality, and meticulous attention to detail by supporting industry-leading practices, including writing and maintaining thorough test coverage.

• Actively help ensure our client adheres to a disciplined approach to healthcare security.

• Mentor junior engineers within your team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

• At least 8 years of experience in the software development lifecycle.

• Proficient in data pipelines or applications developed with Java or Groovy (knowledge of Kotlin is also acceptable).

• Prior hands-on experience in building data services and APIs.

• Experience in leading data modeling and storage design using various database technologies.

• Extensive hands-on experience in building and maintaining services using Kafka, along with either MongoDB or DynamoDB.

• Strong unit testing background (Spock or JUnit).

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (preferably GitHub Actions, though not mandatory).
