• Create and implement automated reliability and self-healing systems that ensure production stability at scale, incorporating features like automated rollbacks, deployment safeguards, and fault mitigation, and provide these as platform tools that engineering teams throughout the organization can utilize for their services.
• Take ownership of and enhance incident management tools and on-call health. Minimize alert noise, highlight actionable signals, and enable engineering teams to manage their services effectively with reduced operational burdens.
• Advance our observability infrastructure, which includes monitoring, alerting, SLOs, and performance regression detection, to offer teams real-time, actionable insights into system health and latency.
• Contribute to AI-driven operational tools that extend beyond triage, moving towards autonomous remediation where AI identifies issues, implements corrective measures, and self-recovers with minimal human intervention.
• Promote incident prevention by recognizing systemic patterns and rigorously eliminating operational toil. You have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by on-call engineers and a commitment to enhancing their experience.
• Collaborate directly with product engineering teams to identify reliability gaps, alleviate their operational burdens, and assist them in adopting best practices for managing their services.
• Establish and advocate for operational excellence best practices across engineering through guardrails, scorecards, and standards that enable teams to run their services reliably by default.
