Senior Software Engineer II, AI Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain high-throughput backend services on the AdServer and Exchange platform.

• Enhance and refine Real-Time Bidding and auction logic.

• Facilitate integrations with demand and supply partners.

• Collaborate with Staff Engineers and architects on design choices for the platform.

• Take ownership of features from design to deployment.

• Prioritize correctness, observability, and operational health.

• Partner with Product teams on innovative ad formats and monetization strategies.

• Assist in monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis.

• Utilize AI tools, including Claude Code, for scaffolding, schema development, code reviews, analysis, coding, refactoring, testing, codebase navigation, and documentation.

• Mentor less experienced engineers.

• Help establish standards for code quality, testing, and engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 5–8 years of experience in backend engineering.

• Strong expertise in Java programming.

• Background in multi-threaded system design.

• Experience in building or managing high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems in a production environment.

• Knowledge of data consistency, performance trade-offs, and database fundamentals.

• Comfort in cloud-native settings, preferably AWS.

• Familiarity with AdTech concepts (RTB, auctions, supply/demand integrations) is advantageous.

• Experience in integrating third-party APIs or partner systems is beneficial.

• Clear and direct communication skills.

• Willingness to adopt agentic workflows and AI-assisted development.

• Regular professional use of AI coding assistants, including Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.

• Responsibility for reviewing and maintaining AI-generated code.

• Openness to sharing AI workflows and keeping up with evolving tools.
