Senior Software Engineer, GraphQL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate effectively with a team of software engineers to develop and maintain the core platform for Reddit's GraphQL infrastructure.

• Create, construct, and deliver solutions aimed at enhancing the functionality, scalability, and efficiency of GraphQL.

• Analyze and optimize the performance of our platform operating at a large scale.

• Provide input on the technical and strategic direction of the GraphQL platform.

• Mentor and support fellow engineers within the team as a leader.

• Participate in on-call duties alongside the GraphQL team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in designing and developing large-scale distributed backend systems.

• Proficient in one or more general-purpose programming languages (preferably Go).

• Proven experience in identifying and driving high-impact projects that align with the company's strategic goals.

• Familiarity with essential cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS, GCP).

• Strong empathy and outstanding communication skills to facilitate collaboration across the organization.

• Experience with GraphQL backend is advantageous.

• Background in structuring and implementing complex data models is a plus.
