This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the SeatGeek design team and product managers to transform concepts into reality that will excite fans.
• Bring enthusiasm for product development to mentor and nurture web engineers throughout the organization.
• Play a key role in enhancing the maturity of our frontend technology strategy and stack.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in frontend software engineering, having successfully led product initiatives from start to finish in recent years.
• TypeScript/JavaScript: You possess an outstanding understanding of the language, stay updated with the latest specifications, and seek opportunities to implement new features. Familiarity with at least one modern framework and client-side rendering technique is expected. We utilize TypeScript, React, and Next.js for our user interfaces, though specific knowledge of these is not mandatory.
• UI & Product Instincts: You have strong opinions regarding the aesthetics and functionality of web pages, care about the subtleties of user interaction with the product you are developing, and strive to create inclusive and accessible experiences. While we do not require you to be a visual designer, we seek someone who can enhance the work of our talented design team.
• Architecture and Performance Optimization: You are adept at delving deeper into the stack to resolve caching inefficiencies and troubleshoot across a diverse range of distributed systems that comprise a dynamic web application. You understand how to utilize monitoring and testing to determine if changes enhance or hinder the user experience, and know how to design for performance and maintainability.
• Adaptability: You are comfortable working full stack in Python when necessary to accomplish tasks. You have some experience with design tools such as Figma or Sketch. If you have not worked with these tools before but are eager to dive in without hesitation, we encourage you to apply.
