Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop backend services, APIs, and the data architecture that support all of our product areas — including outreach automation, payments, reporting, and analytics — with a focus on reliability and accuracy in a payments-critical environment.

• Take ownership of data modeling, ETL processes, and vendor SDK integrations across EHRs, payment processors, and external partners.

• Engage in the React frontend and internal tools where your contributions cover the entire technology stack.

• Elevate team standards through your own exemplary work and by providing thorough, constructive code reviews.

• Produce code and documentation that directs both human developers and AI agents toward achieving excellence.

• Collaborate with Product from the initial ideation to the production release to translate business objectives into precise engineering specifications.

• Draft the technical specifications for the projects you oversee — considering scalability, edge cases, and long-term maintainability.

• Contribute to CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and development infrastructure as necessary, including enhancements to the tools and systems the team depends on.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative/technical/engineering field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of experience deploying to production, with direct accountability for high-scale platforms (100M+ records) in accuracy-sensitive sectors such as healthcare or fintech.

• Profound experience in building backend and data systems (services, pipelines, APIs) using a general-purpose programming language and SQL, with strong fundamentals in relational data modeling.

• Significant experience in TypeScript or a strongly typed language; comfortable with React, although frontend work is a smaller component of this role. You naturally prioritize type safety and test coverage.

• Familiar with a leading cloud service provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure).

• Knowledge of security and compliance regulations concerning PHI, PII, and financial information.

• Must be located in New York, NY; Santa Barbara, CA; or Atlanta, GA.
