Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to identify and develop features that meet actual user needs and generate significant outcomes.

• Create, develop, and iterate on comprehensive product features, effectively linking backend systems with frontend experiences.

• Design and sustain backend services and APIs (REST and/or GraphQL) that support user-facing applications, as well as facilitate service-to-service communications (both synchronous and asynchronous) across the system.

• Construct and enhance frontend components using contemporary frameworks (e.g., React), prioritizing usability, performance, and the overall user experience.

• Model and manage application data through relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), ensuring a clean and well-organized data structure.

• Participate in technical design discussions, contributing to the development of practical solutions that align with product objectives.

• Work collaboratively across functions to guarantee effective feature delivery, rollout, and ongoing iteration.

• Guide engineers and promote a strong product mindset and user-centric approach throughout the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of full-stack software engineering experience in developing and deploying production web applications.

• Extensive experience in constructing backend services and APIs, including REST and/or GraphQL.

• Proficient in frontend development using React (or a similar modern framework), covering component design, state management, and performance enhancement.

• Experience in designing systems for service-to-service communication, encompassing both synchronous and asynchronous methodologies.

• Strong background in relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including schema design and data modeling.

• Proven capability to develop end-to-end product features from technical design through implementation, rollout, and continuous improvement.

• Experience working closely with product managers and designers within a product development context.

• Strong skills in technical design, systems thinking, and practical problem-solving.

• History of producing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in a collaborative engineering environment.

• Experience in mentoring engineers and contributing to robust engineering standards and team culture.

• Clear focus on user experience, product quality, and customer impact.
