Senior Software Engineer, Firefox Desktop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the design and enhancement of Firefox functionalities related to installations, updates, and operating system integrations.

• Assist in the implementation of improvements to the Firefox installation and update processes, utilizing data insights to inform development.

• Address platform-specific issues in low-level operating system integration for Windows and/or macOS.

• Collaborate with your manager and team members to define and prioritize tasks in line with the team's objectives.

• Engage in code reviews and participate in technical discussions with colleagues.

• Take charge of intricate bugs and lead initiatives to enhance the Firefox experience for millions of users.

• Work closely with your geographically dispersed team in a highly collaborative setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.

• Experience in systems-level programming on at least one major platform (Windows, macOS).

• Strong programming abilities in C/C++.

• Effective communicator and collaborator, particularly within distributed teams.

• Capability to dissect technical tasks and maintain consistent progress within project deadlines.
