Senior Software Engineer, Firefox Desktop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the creation and enhancement of Firefox functionalities related to installations, updates, and operating system integrations.

• Assist in implementing improvements to the Firefox installation and update experience, utilizing data insights to inform development.

• Address platform-specific challenges associated with low-level operating system integration on Windows and/or macOS.

• Collaborate with your manager and team members to define and prioritize tasks in alignment with the team's objectives.

• Engage in code reviews and participate in technical discussions with colleagues.

• Take responsibility for complex bugs and lead initiatives to enhance the Firefox experience for hundreds of millions of users.

• Work closely with your globally distributed team in a highly cooperative environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.

• Proficient in systems-level programming on at least one major platform (Windows, macOS).

• Strong programming abilities in C/C++.

• Effective communicator and collaborator, particularly within distributed teams.

• Capable of breaking down technical tasks and making consistent progress within project timelines.

• A collaborative mindset with a commitment to contributing to the team's success.
