Senior Software Engineer, Firefox Desktop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Play a key role in the development and enhancement of Firefox features associated with installations, updates, and operating system integrations.

• Assist in implementing improvements to the Firefox installation and update process, leveraging data insights to inform development.

• Address platform-specific issues related to low-level operating system integration on Windows and/or macOS.

• Collaborate with your manager and team members to define and prioritize tasks in line with the team's objectives.

• Engage in code reviews and actively participate in technical discussions alongside colleagues.

• Assume responsibility for intricate bugs and spearhead initiatives to enhance the Firefox experience for hundreds of millions of users.

• Work closely with your geographically diverse team in a highly cooperative environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.

• Proficiency in systems-level programming on at least one major platform (Windows, macOS).

• Strong programming abilities in C/C++.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly within distributed teams.

• Capability to decompose technical tasks and maintain consistent progress within project timelines.
