Senior Software Engineer, Firefox Desktop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Play a pivotal role in the enhancement and development of Firefox features concerning installations, updates, and operating system integrations.

• Assist in implementing improvements to the Firefox installation and update experience, leveraging data insights to inform development.

• Address platform-specific challenges related to low-level operating system integration on Windows and/or macOS.

• Collaborate with your manager and colleagues to define and prioritize tasks in alignment with the team's objectives.

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions with fellow engineers.

• Take charge of intricate bugs and lead initiatives to enhance the Firefox experience for hundreds of millions of users.

• Work closely with your geographically diverse team in a highly collaborative atmosphere.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.

• Proficiency in systems-level programming on at least one major platform (Windows, macOS).

• Strong programming skills in C/C++.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills, particularly in distributed teams.
