Senior Software Engineer – Fiat Payments, Banking Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the architectural design and hands-on development of our international fiat payment systems (ACH, RTP, FedNow, Request for Pay, and SEPA).

• Design, implement, and enhance seamless API integrations with our banking partners' platforms.

• Create and develop comprehensive treasury management software for internal processes, facilitating programmatic liquidity management and automated balance transfers among partner banks.

• Build robust internal operational tools to assist with reconciliation, automated notifications, financial operations, and compliance reporting.

• Contribute to the essential operations of the company by aiding in the design and development of software within an event-driven microservices framework.

• Build microservices, primarily using Golang.

• Collaborate closely with platform engineers to establish new services and enhance existing infrastructure.

• Address production issues and alerts, ensuring our payment gateways maintain high availability.

• When needed, directly engage with banking partners and client technical teams to troubleshoot complex integration challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of software engineering experience, particularly in Payments, FinTech, or Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) environments.

• In-depth expertise in Golang within a production context.

• Comprehensive knowledge of traditional fiat networks and clearing systems (e.g., ACH, RTP, FedNow, SEPA, Swift).

• Strong skills in SQL and complex database schema design for high-throughput, ACID-compliant financial ledgers.

• Practical experience in developing, integrating, and maintaining reliable connections with bank APIs and third-party payment processors.

• A proactive and resourceful approach; you thrive in environments where you can take initiative and move from concept to execution.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities; you can methodically troubleshoot complex distributed systems.

• Comfort with uncertainty; the ability to independently formulate and test clear hypotheses, and address architectural challenges without explicit guidance.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
