This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and enhance the frontend interfaces that clients utilize to create, preview, and analyze email campaigns, including template editors, sending configurations, and deliverability dashboards.
• Design and expand the backend systems that facilitate high-volume email sending, which includes queue management, retry mechanisms, and event processing for bounces, complaints, and deferrals.
• Manage systems related to deliverability, such as bounce classification, suppression management, IP/domain reputation monitoring, and processing feedback loops.
• Collaborate with our deliverability team to convert domain expertise into automated tools, including reputation scoring, warm-up schedules, and sending throttles.
• Implement and monitor the health of the email channel, focusing on inbox placement signals, block detection, ESP feedback, and alerting mechanisms.
• Take ownership of problems from beginning to end, encompassing architecture, schema design, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Share insights and elevate standards through brief videos, thoughtful writing, and mentorship opportunities.
• Leverage AI agents to facilitate multi-file modifications by scoping tasks, crafting prompts, and verifying results.
• Over 7 years of experience in building scalable, distributed systems using Go (or similar statically typed languages).
• Proven experience in developing product-facing frontend features using React or comparable frameworks, with a strong focus on user experience quality and refinement.
• Proficient in working within cloud-native environments such as AWS or GCP.
• Familiar with relational databases, primarily MySQL, and knowledgeable about performance trade-offs.
• Understanding of high-volume email sending concepts, including bounce handling, feedback loops, and delivery event processing.
• Working knowledge of email authentication standards—SPF, DKIM, DMARC—and their impact on deliverability.
• Capable of reasoning about sender reputation, IP warm-up, and ISP behavior at scale.
• Experience with observability tools and managing production systems.
• Background in building or utilizing APIs designed for high-throughput asynchronous workloads.
• A proactive approach favoring action over perfection, coupled with a sense of ownership in technical decisions.
