Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create highly dependable data services to connect with numerous blockchains.

• Construct intricate ETL pipelines capable of transforming and processing petabytes of structured and unstructured data in real time.

• Design and architect sophisticated data models for optimal storage and retrieval, ensuring sub-second latency for querying blockchain data.

• Manage the deployment and monitoring of extensive database clusters with a steadfast focus on performance and high availability.

• Collaborate with various departments, working alongside data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to design and implement innovative data models that enhance TRM’s offerings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• A demonstrated history of 5+ years of practical experience in architecting distributed system architecture, guiding projects from initial conception to successful production deployment.

• Outstanding programming abilities in Python, along with proficiency in SQL or SparkSQL.

• Flexibility covering the entire data engineering spectrum in one or more of the following areas:

• Extensive experience with data storage solutions such as Iceberg, Trino, BigQuery, StarRocks, and Citus.

• Skill in data pipeline and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, DBT, etc.

• Knowledge of data processing technologies and streaming workflows, including Spark, Kafka, and Flink.

• Proficiency in deploying and monitoring infrastructure within public cloud environments, using tools such as Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Datadog.

• Established capability in loading, querying, and transforming large datasets.
