Senior Software Engineer – Core

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Join our team as a Senior Software Engineer within the ‘Core’ team of the ‘Order Engineering’ group.

• Take ownership of essential components of Olo’s platform, such as baskets, orders, checkout, promotions, and capacity management.

• Drive technical decisions while enhancing the reliability and scalability of the platform.

• Contribute actively through coding and provide mentorship to fellow engineers.

• Ensure the implementation of high-quality, scalable distributed systems.

• Lead efforts in troubleshooting and incident management.

• Promote enhancements in development practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related practical experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering.

• Advanced expertise in C#/.Net.

• Comprehensive understanding of architectural principles and patterns, especially for distributed systems (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture using Kafka).

• Proficient in implementing resilience mechanisms and optimizing performance practices.

• Experienced in managing cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes/EKS).

• Demonstrated leadership and collaboration abilities.
