Senior Software Engineer – Cloud Platform Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Create internal tools and services that support the infrastructure of Qdrant Cloud.

• Develop automation and platform components utilizing Go and Python.

• Design systems for cluster provisioning, lifecycle management, and automation of infrastructure.

• Enhance Kubernetes automation through the use of controllers, operators, and infrastructure tools.

• Devise solutions that minimize operational toil and eradicate manual infrastructure tasks.

• Boost the reliability, scalability, and observability of the cloud platform.

• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams on system architecture and automation efforts.

• Engage in incident response and implement strategies to prevent future occurrences.

• Continuously enhance the internal platform utilized for operating Qdrant Cloud.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), platform engineering, or infrastructure software engineering.

• Proficient programming skills (preferably Go, with Python as an alternative).

• Experience in creating automation or tools for cloud infrastructure.

• Practical experience operating Kubernetes in a production environment.

• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure platforms.

• Strong grasp of Linux systems and networking principles.

• Experience in enhancing reliability through automation and systems design.

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

• Nice to have: Experience in developing Kubernetes controllers or operators, Terraform or infrastructure-as-code tools, observability stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry, large-scale SaaS infrastructures, and database or data infrastructure systems.
