Cloud Engineer – Principal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Design, architect, deploy, and sustain cloud solutions.

• Ensure system integrity and security are maintained.

• Keep technical documentation up to date.

• Support and develop automation processes.

• Program using Bash, PowerShell, and Python.

• Continuously enhance knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI services.

• Monitor and optimize cloud systems for peak performance.

• Collaborate across teams and with external customer groups to create strategies and design solutions.

• Provide guidance to implementation teams during infrastructure buildouts.

• Manage escalations and deliver assessments, recommendations, and resolutions for issues.

• Draft and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and knowledge articles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical training, relevant certifications, or a degree.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering and operations.

• Proficient in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.

• Strong technical skills in both Linux and Windows Server environments.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Proven experience in delivering presentations to diverse audiences at various organizational levels.

• Must hold or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret or higher security clearance.

• US citizenship is required.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment across engineering, migration, and operations.
