Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Architect and integrate tools powered by LLM into our platform ecosystem.

• Lead the strategic roadmap for our cloud capabilities based on GCP and Kubernetes, balancing direct feedback from developers with emerging cloud technologies.

• Define, construct, and uphold stringent system Service Level Objectives (SLOs) along with incident management processes.

• Design transparent security measures for the platform, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.

• Proactively manage cloud capacity and FinOps.

• Transform CI/CD processes (GitHub Actions, TeamCity), deployment methods (ArgoCD), and build tools into a unified, self-service product.

• Deliver high-level, solutions-focused support by addressing complex infrastructure issues.

• Cultivate a customer-centric engineering environment while mentoring junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is essential; experience with AWS is a significant advantage.

• Extensive experience in managing both self-hosted and cloud-hosted Kubernetes architectures at scale.

• Proven track record in managing and scaling robust data storage and streaming technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka).

• Excellent software development skills in high-level programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, TypeScript) coupled with modern development practices.

• Demonstrated ability to create secure, self-service infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and declarative CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, TeamCity) to ensure confident deployments and reduce CFR.

• Proficient in utilizing modern AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude).

• Experience in designing scalable monitoring and tracing frameworks based on OpenTelemetry that empower engineering teams to quickly identify bottlenecks and reduce MTTR.
