Senior Software Engineer, Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and enhance distributed systems that drive Ditto's edge-to-cloud functionalities.

• Spearhead the creation of services in Rust that interact with Kubernetes and contemporary cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Collaborate with leadership to influence system architecture, team methodologies, and engineering culture.

• Address intricate challenges related to real-time synchronization, scalability, and fault tolerance in diverse network settings.

• Guide and work alongside engineers throughout the organization, elevating the technical standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional experience in software engineering; a proven track record at Senior or Staff level.

• Experience in a large-scale environment, preferably with a FAANG company or a prominent cloud provider (Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, etc.).

• Strong proficiency in Rust (or similar systems programming languages such as C++/Go, with a willingness to learn Rust).

• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s), cloud-native frameworks, and distributed systems.

• Demonstrated capability to deliver results in high-scale, production settings.

• Must be based in the United States (remote-friendly).
