Senior Software Engineer – Care Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain essential components of our Support Technology platforms, providing scalable solutions that significantly enhance customer-facing support experiences and agent tools.

• Take ownership of and advance backend services, workflows, and integrations that facilitate chat, voice, and agent-assisted support channels.

• Contribute to the reliability, performance, and scalability of critical support systems, ensuring they function effectively under urgent, real-world scenarios.

• Collaborate closely with product, design, AI, and operations teams to transform intricate support workflows and customer requirements into robust, maintainable software solutions.

• Develop and implement AI-driven features for support workflows, effectively leveraging and managing third-party platforms and external partner APIs.

• Engage in technical design and architecture discussions, playing a role in shaping team-level technical direction and making tradeoffs.

• Mentor and guide fellow engineers through code reviews, pairing, and providing technical support, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a solid background in building and maintaining production systems using Java, Kotlin, or other object-oriented programming languages.

• Experience in designing and operating APIs and services that support both customer-facing and internal tools.

• Proficient in AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, and MCP servers.

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex features or projects from inception to completion, including design, production, and iteration.

• Experience in deploying and managing business-critical systems with an emphasis on reliability, performance, and operational excellence.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
