Senior Software Engineer, Card Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.

📋 Description

• Design and develop backend services for processing card transactions, detecting fraud, and managing card programs.

• Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making with an emphasis on performance, fault tolerance, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Risk, Finance, Compliance) to implement robust and compliant financial systems.

• Write clean, observable, and thoroughly tested code within a service-oriented architecture.

• Engage in code reviews, incident response, and continuous reliability enhancements.

• Assist in evolving our engineering practices, tools, and system designs as we scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of software engineering experience, preferably in fintech, infrastructure, or platform teams.

• Experience in building backend systems using a typed programming language (e.g., TypeScript, Java, Go, etc.).

• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts such as asynchronous processing, retries, observability, and eventual consistency.

• Excellent judgment in balancing accuracy, performance, and maintainability.

• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate technical trade-offs.

• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving product environment.
