Senior Software Engineer, CALC engine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

• Collaborate closely with the product team to translate design decisions into actionable criteria.

• Work together to design and develop code for a high-performance, low-latency calculation engine.

• Clearly and effectively convey complex technical concepts to team members and stakeholders.

• Promote a correctness-first mindset and nurture a culture that prioritizes quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend software development.

• In-depth knowledge in one of the following areas: Strong Core Java skills, threading, allocation & garbage collection, performance tuning, and writing low-latency Java.

• Robust understanding in database engine, compiler design, or investment banking front office.

• Experience in designing programming languages.

• Familiarity with the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).

• Experience utilizing AI tools such as Claude Code.
