Senior Software Engineer, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop high-quality, well-documented, efficient, tested, and maintainable code.

• Enhance and monitor the observability of our applications.

• Actively contribute to improving the technical skills, coding standards, and overall code quality of team members.

• Acquire new programming languages as necessary.

• Focus on enhancing the security, performance, and stability of applications.

• Conduct and participate in high-quality code reviews.

• Offer technical guidance through informed discussions.

• Suggest architectural solutions while collaborating with and mentoring team members.

• Estimate and plan deliverable timelines in conjunction with stakeholders and the product team.

• Utilize existing Swile solutions to align with global platforms.

• Collaborate with the product team to build incremental solutions.

• Prioritize the delivery of well-tested and automated features, including end-to-end tests.

• Monitor and address incidents occurring in production.

• Lead projects, ensuring timely delivery within estimated schedules.

• Serve as a role model to help team members grow technically.

• Engage in the hiring process for engineers at equivalent or lower levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.

• Professional experience in software engineering with Java or Kotlin.

• Experience in designing and developing distributed systems.

• Familiarity with technologies such as Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.

• Proficient in both relational and non-relational databases.

• Strong and effective communication skills.

• Advanced English proficiency at C1 level.
